Lizzy Anne

The sneak peak of our family photos was just uploaded!

Check out Lizzy Anne's blog here to see them.

I am amazed by this woman. Her photos are amazing, she quilts (who does that? and well? her.), she has great style, and a spunky sweet personality. I am so happy that I had the privilege of meeting her! And seeing her in action. My kids are hard kids on the best of days. Photographing them is even harder, especially when Hannah is in her diva mood. Which she was. Liz did everything she could to get them to cooperate, including this super awesome froggy hop that still has me chuckling.

Elizabeth Cranmer you rocked it!

I can't wait for her to come back and visit, and bring that gorgeous family of hers. I can't wait to meet them all!!!

PS let's be friends? we are friends!

These are my faves from the sneak peak. My wall hangers and card senders.

So far this one is my favorite. I can't wait for it to be up on our wall.

My handsome husband. I love those baby blues!

look at this guy! I love that face and his sweet personality. Liz got him! I have not yet had success in getting this kid and she did it.

Liz I will forgive you for me looking pregnant. It's not your fault. I blame Gaby. I still love it. When it's up on my wall I will pretend that I was prego. lol

look at my baby!

this is my Hannah. I love her.

This one is amazing! I love it so so much. It will be on my wall, and probably my Christmas cards too.

And they all do it....

Hannah and David played barber shop today.

I'm so sad. We'll see in the next few days if her hair curls bounce back up.
I've heard so many stories today of little girls chopping their hair. I remember doing it too. At least it's summer and her hair will grow faster. I'm also grateful they did this AFTER family photos.

She has a hair apt booked for Thursday morning. I told her I'd cut mine too. She felt better after that.

Amber Teething Necklace

So what's the verdict on these amber teething necklaces? Real or fake?

If you haven't guessed yet, Gabriella is teething. And she's an awful teether. So far, I haven't seen much of a difference with/without the necklace.

She's one of those that milks that tooth for-EVER! David was the same. Sunday was an absolutely horrible day. She woke up with a fever and diaper rash, her gums swollen and red. If she'll continue on like Dave, this will go on and on for at least another few weeks if not longer. Poor baby.

You can see her necklace here, and don't forget the drool! Who wouldn't love that slobbery face? David calls it 'baby slime' and he's so right.

I made her an organic teether. I saw one here and so I took a piece of organic cloth that I had, and just made one. She seems to like it. She can grab it and chew it so it works well enough. I love that it's organic.

Side note: Gaby found her feet today. Isn't she just the CUTEST!!
Here's my Hannah. I love her green eyes.

Nicknames and photos

We call our kids all sorts of sweet names.

David usually ends up with Dave or Davie. But with my Jewish heritage, I call him Boobilla.
Hannah gets Hanny, or La or Lala or Miss La. She also gets Boobilla.
We're still trying to find a really good solid one for Gabriella. She has of course been getting Gaby. I like Gaby but I don't LOVE it. She also has been getting Gaby Grace, which is very cute. We could call her Ella or Ellie, or even Gigi (does that sound like a hooker name to you?)

I'm also considering trying to take Blue Lily's go pro course this summer.

I know for certain that my camera needs a tune up. I'd love to upgrade it as well. I'm currently using the Nikon D5000. It's really not a possibility to upgrade for me right now, but maybe just getting it tuned up will make all the difference. I would love to be able to take photos as a source of income. Weather it would be family photography, or maybe one day weddings. I could even think to aim for publication either with a newspaper or magazine. I would love to even be able to dream like that, but I don't know.
There's always student loans...maybe.

We also moved our family photos to today. It just wasn't falling together on Wednesday for us, or for our photographer Elizabeth.
We rescheduled for today. And I'm so glad that I did!
The sun is shining and it's nice and warm. I hope the outfits I picked work out. Maybe, just maybe, I'm feeling excited about it. Just a little.

Gaby Gaby Goo

Gaby in her sun hat.
I love this girl. Isn't this the cutest face you've ever seen?

We're still trying to figure out what colour eyes she's going to have. David has a blue-green, almost a sea foam green. Hannah has green eyes, but when she was a little little like Gaby, they were blue. Bright sky blue. We thought that sweet blue would stick around, as James has the same colour, but around 1 year they changed. I have brown eyes. I think she's going to have dark eyes, but every now and then they look green like Hanny's.

It's so fun trying to guess:)

I forgot to run the dishwasher last night. I'm not sure what I feel like doing now. Do I run it? It's a portable, so it takes up the entire kitchen when it's running. Or do I leave it and make due...

babys got back

Jillian Michaels is helping me with the issue of baby weight. I've been working with my friend Janelle and of course, Jillian and her 30 day shred.
So far Janelle's had more success than I have. I'm having a hard time making time to do it. I love this:
A shout out to my girl Meg for that one. You can find her blog here:

I would love it if...

I would love it if I could find more time for blogging! I love sitting here, typing on the key board, writing my thoughts. I also love comments!!

What to wear...and THANK YOU!

Today we're having family photos taken.

We usually try to do them once a year, but seeing as we have a new member to our clan, we decided to do them sooner.

Elizabeth from Lizzy Anne Photography is doing this round for us.
Find her here
So far she seems really nice. I love her photos, and she totally gets my vision.

I want to be excited about the idea, but there's one BIG problem. I have NOTHING to wear! It's honestly so frustrating. I'm right in between maternity clothes and my old clothes. approx 5-10lbs away from fitting into my "fat" jeans. I miss my body, and my clothes. Especially right now when we've signed up for photos and I have a ponch instead of a stomach and absolutely nothing to cover it.

If I had no limits to what we could choose this would be it for
me
james
david
hannah
gaby

I've been looking to a very reliable source for inspiration, the nie nie dialogues. I love her style. I keep thinking it would be so nice to have her help picking our outfits. If only I had a little of her know how and style. Nie's looks here and here and here

and a HUGE shout out to my girl Avril! She made this gorgeous hat for Gaby. It looks great for photos, and it'll be perfect for colder weather. I can't wait to use it!! Well, maybe I can wait for the cold :)
