Baby it's HOT Outside!! :)

I LOVE summer! With two crazy little toddlers, sunshine and fresh air are the only two things that make life bearable. We've been heading to the beach, the park, the backyard. You name it, we've been there! We pack a picnick lunch, play all afternoon, and have dinner as we head home. The best part, by the time we're at the door, both of these babes are asleep. HEAVEN! :)

Some of the best gifts come in teeny tiny packages...

Tuesday James and I went to the new Langley Temple. It was the first time for both of us heading over there, and we didn't know quite what to expect. Both of us have only ever been inside the Seattle Temple, and we knew that it would be very different, but we still didn't have a good idea of what it would be like.

The temple itself is very small. The plot that it's on is also very small, so the gardens aren't very big and there isn't much sight seeing to be done there, unlike the much larger temple in Seattle, Bellview, I think? Anyhoo...

We had gotten there rather early, hoping that there would be a nice place to sit outside, think, walk around. There really wasn't much to see, or do, or walk on. We toured the grounds for about 10 minutes and that completed the entirety, and at this point we were feeling a little let down in all honesty. The temple was just a baby little temple, and the grounds being newly planted were nothing to write home about (yet).

Once we were inside, our opinion immediatly changed. It is one of the most beautiful buildings that I have ever seen. The teeny tinyness is completely outweighed by the amount of detail that went into it's design. From the floors, to the ceilings, to the walls, even the door handles are designed with stunning details.

I can only say, that I am very much so looking forward to going back to OUR temple, our beatiful, amazing, little temple. And that I am so very blessed to now have one that is so close we were able to take a day trip and be home for bed time.

Fathers Day

Ok so slightly out of order, but I wanted to say something anyway.
I love fathers day. Growing up, I never had the chance to celebrate this special day with only a mom. Now that I have my own family, and a husband who is a wonderful father to my little babies, I am so very thrilled to celebrate this very special day.
Fathers are such a wonderful and amazing gift, that sometimes we take for grantid. They are loving, hard workers, who put themselvs at the bottom of the list, always. The dad in our family is very much loved and awed by our kiddies, and on this day especially, treasured.

Thankyou James for all that you do. We love you!

I love to see the temple

What is tomorrow?? Well, besides Tuesday, it's Temple day!! I have been waiting for this day for months and months. James and I are going to the Langly temple for the first time :)

I am so thrilled to finally have a temple that is close enough for a day trip. We have been anxiously awaiting this oportunity for a long time now, and are so thrilled to have this time to go.

Of course we're leaving Menace and Monkey behind. They are wonderful as can be, but as we all know, CRAZY!! So they're staying with Grandma and Grandpa while we ferry across to our new, beautiful temple.

I will of course be taking the camera, so do expect lots of pics in my next post.

And ps...down to 137 woohoo!!

Lifestyle Change....yikes!

Ok, so I did it. I finally got over my stereotype and joined Jenny Craig. I was scared because in my mind I had thought that Jenny was only for seriously over weight, or obese people. And walking in there the other day, I felt bad. I really did. There were people with well over 100 lbs sitting in the waiting room, and I thought how can this really be the place for me?

Currently I am sitting at (yikes) 142lbs. That may not sound like a huge number, but for my height that is 2 lbs away from top of the "normal" range. So it's time to not only shed some pounds, but be healthy again. You'd think that chasing my kidlets everywhere would help me stay thin, but aparantly, according to a good friend of mine, it's definatly more what you eat that what you do, 80/20.

I am going for the goal of 120lbs, which means I have 22lbs to lose. My half way point is approx 31lbs, and if I can stay on plan that might not be too far away with an average loss of 1-2lbs/week on this program. And to me, right now, that is sounding fantastic! I have been working so hard for so long that to finally find something that won't fail, even if it's at a snail pace, is amazing! My mole hill of 20lbs over the past 3 years and 2 babies has truly been a mountain. And a big one.

So here's to a new lease on life, a huge life style change (as in wow that's what a healthy portion looks like? whoopsy), and *fingers crossed* a 22lb lighter me!

Bundles of Energy!

Wow it has been forever since I've been on here. It's crazy how life can get so full of this and that and before you know it, a month has gone by.

Anyway, recently, well maybe about a month or so ago, a friend of ours took some photos of the kids for us. She did a fantastic job! I don't think she's ever had two crazier little kidlets to try and capture on film, and it was definatly a challange for her, but she did a great job! Our kids like to run, and as Shannon discoverd, in oposite directions. It makes me wonder why I'm not thinner trying to keep up with these two monkeys lol.

Shannon had suggested that we use props and get them to pose, at that I honestly laughed and told her that wouldn't be happening, and I don't think she believed me until she witnessed for herself the crazyness of these little ones.

We ended up heading over to Beacon Hill Park. And with shoes off and the sun shining they jumped into the great span of purple without any hesitation. I had this vision of them in that beatiful sea of purple flowers that we get every spring. I am so greatful that we got there in time, because they're all gone now, but we will forever have that day captured from these gorgeous shots.

Anyway, so here are my favorite ones, the rest are posted on my facebook for anyone who wants to take a look. I absolutly love them. There are some especially nice ones of our little Hannah, who with such an expressive face is very difficult to photograph. One of these days we'll get the whole family in there :) But we all know that what's most important is catching these gorgeous little ones before they are too big to be called little.
